Cultural note from the author:
Sports day, うんどうかい is one of the main traditional annual events at primary schools in Japan. A school is usually divided into two teams, red and white, and they compete against each other. The day starts with an opening ceremony and continues with various games and performances throughout the day. Families are invited to cheer and join for lunch. Let us find out what sort of day Japanese kids have on sports day.
