Delivery & Shipping Policy

Order Processing

We process orders within 2-3 business days, excluding weekends and holidays. Pre-ordered items are processed within 2-3 business days of arrival in stock.

Successfully placed orders will receive an e-mail confirmation with the order details. If you do not receive an e-mail, please check your spam filter or contact us for confirmation.

If you need any assistance with your order, please contact us immediately at info@japanbookshop.com. We will not be able to make changes to your order after it has shipped.

Please review and ensure that you have entered the correct address. We are not responsible for non-delivery due to errors in the address that you provide. If an order is returned due to an incorrect address, we will refund the original order (excluding the shipping fee) and ask that you re-submit your order.

 

Delivery within Australia

We use Australian Post for domestic delivery.  Within Australia, books up to 5kg cost A$9.30 for the regular parcel and $12.55 for express post. If you need more details, please view them here.  The costs are all in Australian dollars.

International delivery

We use Australian Post for international delivery.  The cost varies depending on the weight, destination country, and express or standard postage.  The below is examples of sending 24-page books as a standard parcel.  If you need more details, you can calculate the costs here.

Customs, Duties, and Taxes

Earle sensei’s Japanbooks is not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to your order. All fees imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of the customer (tariffs, taxes, etc.).

 

Damages

We arrange postage with the greatest of care to ensure the books arrive in perfect condition.  However, if the products are damaged or lost during shipping, please contact the us so we can help with the issue.  For damaged products, you need to save all packaging materials and goods before filing a claim.
