During Josh’s visit to Japan, he mentioned the following three main places where he had unique cultural experiences: Shirakawago, Takayama, and Shibu Onsen in Nagano. Shirakawago has been a UNESCO world heritage site since 1995 and offers a historical village for visitors to explore. Takayama is an old city with streets that are filled with old-fashioned shops, which make people feel as though they have traveled back in time to Japan 150 years ago. Lastly, viewing the wild monkeys enjoying their share of the natural hot springs in the snow is a fun way to explore a unique part of nature.
