Suitable for primary school learners and emerging independent readers. Features a wider range of vocabulary, less repetitive sentence patterns, and basic kanji with furigana support.
Level 4
Suitable for Year 7–8 students and developing readers. Features expanded です・ます sentence patterns, richer descriptions, and a broader range of vocabulary.
Level 5
Suitable for Year 8–10 students and growing independent readers. Features です・ます, て-form, and たい-form patterns, increased kanji exposure, and more varied reading texts.
