Cultural note from the author:
Deep in the mountains of Nagoro, Japan, there is a unique place known as the Scarecrow Village. Over the years, many young people moved away from the village, and the population gradually declined.
A resident began creating scarecrows to represent the people who once lived there. Today, more than 200 scarecrows can be seen throughout the village, creating a fascinating and memorable place for visitors to explore. This book introduces some of the scarecrows that call Nagoro home.
