Cultural note from the author:
Every year on the 5th of May, families across Japan celebrate Children’s Day, a special day dedicated to children’s health, happiness, and future success.
Originally a celebration for boys, Children’s Day became a national holiday for all children in 1948. Although some traditions have changed over time, many families still enjoy these customs today.
